Taking to his Twitter account, Kipruto, the Olympic Games champion said he tried positive for the infection in the wake of experiencing an obligatory test so as to be cleared to go for the forthcoming Monaco Diamond League scheduled for August 14.
“Our World is experiencing a difficult period and we as a whole need to take our duties. Tragically my covid-19 test, as a major aspect of the Monaco-convention, returned positive and accordingly I can’t be a piece of the Monaco Diamond League” Kipruto posted on his twitter handle.
