Police in Kiminini, Transzoia County, are investigating a possible murder–suicide. The two allegedly locked themselves inside their home at Kiunga Police Station and shortly afterward, were found to have died from gunshot wounds.
In the suspected case of a murder-suicide, police officers reportedly shut themselves inside their bedroom before gunshots were heard.
“Nikaskia risasi tatu zinalia tukafikiria ni askari wanafanya bunduki ndio tumejua wameuwana,” Paul Mwangi, a neighbour told the media.
It is reported that the deceased woman Dorcas Chebet had visited her husband Abel Andari who is based at the station on Sunday Morning.

According to the police boss, the two cops were in their late twenties, with a full life ahead of them.
The police have yet to establish a motive for the shooting. A G3 rifle loaded with 20 rounds was found on the scene, four shots reportedly fired.
Local residents have asked the government to investigate growing cases of police brutality.
