Three people died after a trailer transporting sugarcane overturned in Homa Bay County on Monday night.
With serious injuries to one student, witnesses say a 40-foot truck overturned, with the vehicle lying on top of two motorcycles and a bicycle.
Kalanya Kanyango, the chief of the area , confirmed the accident but said emergency workers were still in the process of moving the trailer to discover whether there were any more victims trapped underneath.
