US streaming platform most known for Rick and Morty, Adult Swim, has canceled The Venture Bros one of its longest running show ever. The show has been running for 17 years
The cancellation of the popular series had long been rumoured and was confirmed on Twitter this Monday by series creator Christopher McCulloch.
“Unfortunately, it’s true: Venture Bros. has been canceled,” series creator Christopher McCulloch, who goes by the name Jackson Publick, announced on Twitter. “We got the highly disappointing news a few months ago, while we were writing what would have been Season 8. We thank you, our amazing fans, for 17 years of your kind (and patient) attention. And, as always, we love you.”
Adult Swim tweeted that it is working with McCulloch and co-writer Doc Hammer “to find another way to continue the Venture Bros story.”
HBO Max has been suggested as a possible new home for the series.
