The infamous, retired Lutheran country pastor Ambilikile Mwasapile, alias Babu wa Loliondo has died.
According to a family member Eric Nambolo, the man who captured the imagination of people from around East Africa with his concoction that supposedly cured all diseases passed away on Friday afternoon at about 4pm while being rushed to hospital.
Babu had been unwell for two weeks before passing according to Nambolo and reportedly recently said he’s not going anywhere in this world anymore
The story of Loliondo township in Kenya is a peculiar one. Many people came to the town for help thanks to an old preacher who claimed he had found magical cure-all that could heal anything, but when some more were killed or just became really sick from his concoctions, everyone started questioning and fearing this charlatan’s abilities.
In the year 2019, Citizen TV revisited a bizarre story that took Africa by storm. They spoke to some of those who made the visit and lived to tell their horror tales, as well as those who only have graves for what was an arduous journey ending in grief.
Citizen TV also traveled to Samunge village where they interviewed 87-year old retired cleric Babu about his miracle cure: goat blood mixed with milk. This is one interview he gave before passing away from natural causes at age 89 last December 31st 2018 due this New Year’s Eve party on Kenyan television stations
