Ex-staff who were as of late laid off by bankrupt retailer Tuskys held shows on Friday in the Nairobi downtown area to request their duty.
In excess of 45 previous workers who had been recruited on contract charge the retailer, presently Kenya’s biggest, of giving them nothing but nonsense throughout the previous three months.
Stephen Owiti, who sorted out the demo, said some ex-representatives had been given post-dated checks which they uncertainty will be respected.
“Some of us have post dated cheques which we were told to cash at the end of the month, while others have cheques which have not been signed. How can you bank a cheque which is not signed?” he wondered.
