In 2022, Raila Odinga has revealed his plan to change the industrial sectors should he clinch a seat in government. Speaking during an event with ward leaders from Mombasa County where they rallying support for their ‘Azimio la Umoja’ campaign and reiterating on blue economy blueprint which is primarily based off fishing as well as other industries meant for different needs like manufacturing or mining etc.,Odinga said “I want us all working together so that we can develop these new ideas.”

“Ukienda Namibia wako na mtambo kubwa ya samaki, wako na meli kubwa wanaenda Baharini na wakirudi wanaprocess unapata hii samaki inakwenda marekani. Hapa tuna samaki aina ya Tuna. Wajerumani wachina wanakuja kuchukuwa samaki hapa,” he added.
