President Uhuru Kenyatta has resumed revamped Nyayo National Stadium following three years of redesigns at an expense of over Sh.650 million.
Uhuru showed up at the arena at around 11: 45 am in his escort before formally opening the arena.
He was joined by Sports CS Amina Mohammed, Nairobi lead representative Mike Sonko close by other government authorities.
Uhuru strolled around the arena as CS Amina indicated him the progressions at the arena as music was played .
They later went for a stroll on the new dashing track at Nyayo Stadium.
Nyayo Stadium was shut in 2017 for remodels to have the 2018 Africa Nations Championships (Chan), which was later moved to Morocco over ineptness.
The announcement from the Acting Commissioner of Sports Gitonga J. Gerald dated September 24 says that the president will manage the service.
Gitonga has welcomed all games organizations in the nation to go to the capacity.
“Please extend the invitation to your players and the dress code will be sports tracksuits preferably ones depicting Kenya National colours,” Gitonga said.
The members are needed to be situated at the arena by 9:30 am.
The president had made an offhand visit to the 45,000-seat limit arena in June to review the advancement.
The arena was quickly opened to have a Kenyan Premier League coordinate between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards in August 2017 at that point shut again for remodel.
