The group of politicians, led by Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto have been meeting in secret since last week to discuss their presidential flag carrier. The retreat comes amidst reports that some members may be wooed by other parties ahead of this month’s elections despite being part-way through forming an alliance.
The three-day retreat to be held in Naivasha from Wednesday will see the OKA technical committee prepare a strategy paper for their bosses. This is meant as an update on what has happened so far and how it could impact other key areas of strategic importance such like picking presidential flag bearer.
ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya and KANU Chairman Gideon Moi are expected to consider the recommendations of the technical team.
