Some parts of the country experiencing power blackouts may continue to battle darkness for a little while longer, this is according to Kenya Power.
KETRACO has once again disappointed its customers by failing to restore power on time as promised.
“KETRACO is experiencing a delay in restoration of the Suswa-Embakasi power line. Normal electricity will resume as soon as KETRACO’S technical team complete the ongoing repair works,” read the statement.
Areas that are still affected include parts of Embakasi, Kitengela, Athi River, Industrial area, parts of Langata, Jamhuri, Kilimani and Kileleshwa, the Nairobi CBD, Hurlingham, Syokimau and Westlands.
Kenyans are suffering the consequences of an outage that was caused by a collapsed tower on Tuesday.
“Engineers from the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO) are on site to repair the line and pave way for the restoration of normal power supply by 5PM this evening,” read an earlier statement.
