In excess of 200 detainees have escaped from a prison in north-east Uganda, authorities state, carrying the neighborhood town to a stop while security powers attempt to find them.
The detainees apparently murdered a trooper after they broke out of the office in Moroto before heading for the slopes.
The military and jail authorities are seeking after the escapees, who apparently grabbed 15 firearms and ammo.
A military representative said two prisoners had been caught and two killed.
The jail office is based on the lower regions of Mount Moroto, on the edge of the town.
As indicated by an Associated Press report, the detainees removed their particular yellow jail garbs and fled stripped into the slopes to evade recognition.
