The forecast is looking bad for Kenya. The Meteorological department has issued an alert warning of strong winds that are likely to hit the country’s eastern region with gusts up to 25 knots (12.5m/sec). Do you have your umbrella and a change of clothes?
“Strong southerly winds of over 25 knots (12.5m/s) expected over the eastern half of the Country. Strong winds may blow off roofs, uproot trees and cause structural damage,” said the met. department on Monday.
Residents of the said regions have thus been urged to be on high alert and monitor media updates on the weather changes.
“Those in the areas of concern should be on high alert. People are urged to continue listening to local media as updates will be provided if conditions change significantly,” added the weatherman.
