Felix Odiwour commonly known as Jalang’o has promised to raise Ksh 1 million in aid of former Tahidi High actor Kamau Kinuthia alias Omosh.
“This hurts me so much…I will host Omosh on Tuesday and I promise to raise him Ksh 1 million to restart his life again,” the radio presenter wrote on his Instagram page.
Omosh hit the headlines last week after it emerged he was about to be kicked out of his rented house over rent arrears amounting to over Ksh150,000.
The comedian also spoke about his job loss especially during the pandemic, and detailed how his family had been affected ever since he left TV.
The good gesture by comedian Jalang’o did not go unnoticed as many Kenyans took their time to thank him – and wish him the best in life.
“May God bless you Jalas my shemeji, it is very kind of you. It feels good to give than receive,” One user by the username jmugo.trimo wrote on Instagram.
Jalang’o said he will host Omosh on his Youtube channel, Jalang’o TV, on Tuesday, February 16.
Alinur Mohamed, founder of Alinur Mohamed Foundation, also pledged to help Omosh financially.
“I have been touched after watching a video of Tahidi High’s Omosh breaking into tears as he pleads for help. He was my favourite actor in Tahidi High thanks to his acting skills. Like many other Kenyans I am going to stand with him financially so that he can bounce back to life,” Alinur wrote.
Former Tahidi High actors have promised to use their platforms to help him get all the help he can. Acterss Maria Chege wrote on her social media platform that she will do what she can to help Omosh.
“It’s not that I have much to give, but using the platform that I have, I am more than willing to join help him. Team Maggie, anyone willing to join me through this, comment below. I will visit him and give you all details on how you can help,” she wrote.
Omosh has asked Kenyans to help rise to his feet as he continues to struggle financially.
