Instagram will now let creators alert followers about upcoming live-streams. Once the banner is up, followers will be able to click on it to subscribe to the scheduled live streams.
You can schedule more than one live-streaming session at a time; the display will scroll so that followers can subscribe to the sessions they want to watch.
The new “live” feature makes it easier for a creator to alert followers and subscribers of upcoming streams. This is because the feature is displayed on their profile, and it also sends out a reminder to followers when the live stream commences. Previously, users had to post about upcoming lives on their profiles or stories, and it was up to interested followers to remember to come back and join the lives.
Livestreams are popular on the app. Creators can add up to three other users to their livestream and use functions like muting and disabling videos.
