Former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya has joined the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K).
On Thursday, the party received a host of leaders from Trans Nzoia County, including Janet Nangabo, who was elected on a Jubilee party ticket.
The leaders were received by Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and other party officials.
During the event, the leaders promised to promote DAP-K and the Azimio la Umoja movement before the upcoming August election.
Natembeya previously reaffirmed that his resolve to contest for Trans Nzoia’s gubernatorial seat at the August polls remains unwavering despite protests from a faction of local politicians he crossed paths with during his time as police boss.
