A 14-year-old boy is under investigation after he allegedly pushed to death a 64-year-old man in Mowlem area, Nairobi.
The boy was detained by police after witnesses said he pushed one Stanley Githongo, 64 to the ground leading to his death after an argument on Sunday afternoon.
Githongo and his colleagues were busy at a construction site removing materials while the boy was riding a bicycle near the place.
According to witnesses, for the boy’s safety, he warned him against riding near as they pushed the materials out.
This prompted an argument between the boy and the deceased.
It was then that the deceased slapped the boy telling him to keep off the site.
Witnesses said the boy in reaction pushed the man and he slid and fell on the ground hitting his head.
He lay unconscious for a while before he was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
They said they are waiting for a postmortem report to indicate how the man died before taking further action.
