American celebrity, songwriter, actress and singer Ashanti has tested positive for Covid19. Ashanti wrote on her Instagram page on Saturday night notifying her fans that she had tested postive, however, clearing the air that she is not in pain.
“Hey y’all I can’t believe I’m saying this but I tested positive for COVID-19. I’m ok and not in any pain,” she wrote.
However, the famed artist went on to clarify that she didn’t contract the disease while on her international travels, but rather, she is certain she got infected while still in her home country.
Ashanti was in Kenya for the better part of the week, where she arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Decemeber 7th, 2020.
